LeRoy Harlan Harman,oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Harman was born at Boyden, Ia., July 14, 1930 and passed away at the Home Hospital, Slayton, Minn. on Feb, 13 at the age of 11 years, 6 months and 23 days.
He moved to Lake Wilson with his parents March 1, 1937 and up to the time of his illness lived at the farm home north of Lake Wilson. He attended school in district 44.
In the brief time of his illness he showed himself patient in his suffering and was cheerful to the last. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He leaves to mourn his passing his parents, three brothers, twins Roger and Rodney, 7 years and Donald 2 years, a great grandfather, three grandparents and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held from the home at 12:30 o'clock and 1:30 from the Lake Wilson Methodist church on Monday, Feb. 16. Pastor W. G. Moritz of the Evangelical Free church officiated at the services. Interment was made in the cemetery north west of Lake Wilson.
Among those who attended the funeral were Messrs. and Mesdames Robert Dethmers, Gerrit Kleinhesselink and family,Ted Doorenbos, Dick, Al and Jake Howard Harman and Bill Henry Harman and Hannes Paulsen and Mrs. Herman Rolfs, Mr. George Horn, Joe Horn and son Marvin, Mrs. Nora Brown, Rev. Imbrie Barnes all of Boyden; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Zwagerman of Hospers, Mr. and Mrs. Gerrit Aalberts and family, William Top and Mrs. John J. Van Oort all of Orange City.
