Thomas Kennedy Passed Away Sunday
After Brief Illness, Thomas William Kennedy died of diphtheria Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the home of his mother, Mrs. John Kennedy, following an illness of only a few days duration. He first suffered one of the bilious attacks to which he had been subject, and later came down with diphtheria.

Funeral services were held, at the grave Monday afternoon, which were conducted by Rev. Wm. F. Vance, pastor of the Associated churches, and burial was made in Grace Hill cemetery.

The deceased was born, here Dec. 26, 1913, so was 8 years, 4 months and 25 days old at the time of his death. The death of this lad comes as a distinct shock to the community, many not knowing that he was so seriously ill. He was an extremely likable, friendly little chap and his sudden death is mourned by a large number of friends. There are left to mourn his death his parents and one sister, Nellie. Deepest sympathy is extended the saddened relatives in their great sorrow.
