Robert Wayne Reynen, 61, of Orange City died Sat. April 19 at the Orange City Area Health System Hospital.

Funeral service was April 23 at First Reformed Church in Orange City. Rev Dr. Perry De Groot and Rev. Jim Daniels officiated.

Graveside service was at the Hollandale MN. Cemetery.

Reynen was born July 4, 1946 to Henry Gerard and Henrietta (Draayer) Reynen. He grew up on a farm in Hollandale, MN, where he also attended elementary school. He later attended Albert Lea High School in MN. and went on to graduate from Northwestern College in Orange City with a bachelor of arts degree in 1968.
On August 23, 1967, he married Patricia Eloise Block in Little Rock. They taught in Kuwait for one year and returned to Hollandale where he continued to farm with Bob's father. They had four children, and after 18 years of marriage, Pat passed away on Feb. 10, 1986 in Albert Lea.

On Jan. 15, 1988 he married Sharon Kay Kycek in Hollandale, where he continued to farm as well as run his own computer business. H spent a total of 27 years farming and he was a member of the Hollandale Reformed Church, serving on the consistory as a deacon and an elder and singing in the choir and a men's quartet.He was also president of the board of directors of the Hollandale Christian School. For the past six years, he lived in Orange City where he was Director of Church Relations for Northwestern College. Most recently he was a member of First Reformed Church in Orange City where he served as an elder and sang in the choir.

He enjoyed camping, road trips, singing, woodworking and computers. His pride and joy was his family and he especially loved that all six of his children called him "Dad."

Survivors include his wife of the past 20 years; six children, Sue and her husband Jack Shields of Blaine, MN. Troy Broitzman and his girlfriend Christine Wytaske of WayZata, MN, Tricia and her husband Brian Veeneendaal of Brown Deer, WIS, Shannon and her husband Larry Kampa of Myrtle, MN Greg Reynen of Singapore and Elizabeth Reynen of Alamosa, CO.; 11 grandchildren; his mother of Austin, MN, a brother Dave Reynen and his wife Joyce of Austin; a sister, Esther and her husband Marvin Wynia of Maurice; his mother-in-law, Violet Kycek of Albert Lea, MN; two brothers-in-law Ron Kycek and his wife Renee of Deerfield, Wis. and Bob Block and his wife Vi of Orange City; and a sister-in-law, Mary Block of Milford.

He was also preceded in death by his father and his father-in-law Leonard W. Kycek.
