Died: March 15, 2000 Sioux Center, Iowa

Sena Rensink, 92 of Sioux Center died Wed. March 15, in Sioux Center.

Memorial services were at 11 a.m. Sat. at First Reformed Church, Sioux Center with Rev. Arnold Punt officiating. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Sioux Center.

Sena Rensink was born December 31, 1907 in Sioux Center to Henry and Tillie ( Moss) Rensink. She graduated from Sioux Center High School in 1926 and taught for several years in the Sioux Center area. She then furthered her education at Hope College in Holland, MI and graduated in 1934. She taught school in MI. and also completed her masters degree in education at the University of Michigan in 1956. After retiring in 1973 she moved to Sioux Center where she lived the rest of her life.

She was a member of First Reformed Church where she was active in the Priscilla Circle. In 1977, on the occasion of the Centennial of the church, she authored and edited the Centennial history book entitled "Beside the Still Waters."

She is survived by 6 nieces and nephews and their spouses; and two sisters-in-law, Margaret Rensink of Sioux Center and Lois Rensink of Orange City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Tony and Cornelius; one nephew; and one great nephew.
