Milton J. Rensink, 63, of Dana Point, Calif., formerly of Sioux Center, died unexpectedly Tuesday, June 5, 2007, in Las Vegas, Nev.

Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Memorial Funeral Home in Sioux Center, with the Revs. Arnold Punt and Marilyn Rensink officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Sioux Center.

Milton James Rensink was born Feb. 14, 1944, to Gerrit W. and Cynthia (Sandbulte) Rensink in Hull, Iowa. He was raised on the family farm near Sioux Center and attended elementary school and high school in Sioux Center. Milton attended Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa, for two years. He then transferred to Iowa State University to complete his bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering. He served two years in the U.S. Army before continuing his education at Stanford University in Palo Alto, Calif., where he earned his master's degree in electrical engineering. Milton worked in the computer industry for several companies in California as a designer of computer hardware. He had made his home in Dana Point.

He was an avid runner and participated in marathons in various places around the world. He enjoyed traveling and had visited more than 40 countries to learn about their people and cultures.

Survivors include his three brothers, Wilmer and Marilyn Rensink of Sioux Center, Darrel and Jo Rensink of Ames, Iowa, and Carl Rensink of Moss Point, Miss; as well as his 14 nephews and nieces.

Preceding Milton in death were his parents; a brother, Donald Rensink; and nephew, Loren Wayne Rensink.
