Funeral services for Mrs. Henry W. Jansen, 81, were held Monday, June 23 at 1:30 P.M. at the First Reformed Church, Alton, Iowa, with Reverend Clarence Greving officiating. Burial was made at the Nassau Twp. Cemetery under the direction of the Van Etten Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Philip Lubbers, Gordon Lubbers, John Peterson, Paul Lubbers, Gregory Jansen, and Harold Scholten.

Mrs. Jansen, nee Anna Stronks, was born in Cedar Grove, Wisconsin, September 25, 1888 and died June 20, 1969, at the Orange City Hospital. She was united in marriage to Henry W. Jansen (Shorty) March 8, 1911. The couple farmed near Carnes for 3 years before moving to the Jansen farm south of Alton where they farmed for 35 years. They then moved to Alton in 1949. Mrs. Jansen was a member of the First Reformed Church in Alton for 58 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry W. Jansen , May 25, 1959; one grandchild; two sisters; and one brother.

Survivors include three daughters; Mrs. Lawrence (Esther) Scholten of Paramount, California, Mrs. John (Ruth) Fennema of Alton, and Mrs. Ray (Margaret) Lubbers of Orange City; one son James Jensen of Alton; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother James Stronks of Iowa City; and a sister Ethel Stronks of Sheldon.
