Mr. William H. Hofmeyer was born June 5, 1891 at Hospers, Iowa. On February 18, 1914, he was united in marriage to Rose Zwagerman at Hospers. To this union were born the following: Lillian (Mrs. Peter Van Kley), Bertha (Mrs. Joe Kleinhesselink), Hermina (Mrs, Gerrit Schneider) and Peter Willis, all of Newkirk. There are 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

He is also survived by two brothers, John of Sanborn and Jake of Orange City and by two sisters, Josie (Mrs. Mike Foreman) and Mrs. Gertie Vander Schaaf, both of Hospers.

Three brothers and five sisters preceded him in death.

Mr. and Mrs. Hofmeyer spent their entire lives in the Hospers vicinity. Mr, Hofmeyer served on the consistory at the Newkirk Reformed Church and later at the Hospers Reformed Church.

Mr. Willis Hofmeyer passed away December 20 at the Orange City hospital. Services were held Tuesday, Dec. 23, 1969, at the Reformed Church of Hospers at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. M. Tysen officiating. Mrs. Ray Van Dyke was organist with special music by the Mole Quartet singing "Precious Memories" and "Does Jesus Care."

Pallbearers were Herman Hofmeyer, Harry Boersma, Herman M. Boersma, Virgil Hofmeyer, Harry Hofmeyer and Howard Hofmeyer. Burial was in the Hospers cemetery with arrangements by Vander Ploeg.
