Jo Ann, the 8 month old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Hofmeyer of Hospers passed away Sunday morning at 1:30 in the Oelrich Hospital at Sioux Center after being ill with pneumonia and whooping cough for about 13 days.

Jo Ann was born on July 24, 1940. Survivors include her parents, 3 brothers, Robert Lee, Wallace Dean and Glenn Roger; her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Gerrit Hofmeyer of Hospers, W. Oordt of Orange City and a step grandmother, Mrs. W. Oordt of Orange City.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at 1 o’clock at the home and at 1:30 at the Presbyterian Church in Hospers with Rev. Mr. Budde in charge. Burial was made in the Memorial Cemetery near Hospers. Pallbearers were Willard Wolfswinkle, William and Phillip Van Veldhuizen and Gerald Hofmeyer.
