Born: November 11, 1911 Sioux Center, Iowa
Died: April 5, 1988 Montrose, CaliforniaGeraldine De Gooyer died April 5, at Verdugo Valley Convalescent Hospital in Montrose, California after a long illness.
After graduating from high school in 1930, she taught for several years in a one-room country school five miles west of Sioux Center.
After attending college in Chicago, she returned to Sioux Center and worked as a bookkeeper for Vilas & Co. a poultry firm. Later, she worked as a bookkeeper for the Sioux Center News.
She moved to CA. and worked during World War II at Lockheed and then in hospital administration. She lived in the Glendale, CA. vicinity.
Survivors of her family include a brother Don, and a sister, Inez Heemstra in Sioux Center and a brother, Marvin in Sacramento CA.
