Charley Ellis Dead

Joseph Roberts received a letter from his son, Arthur, of Hancock, Minnesota, Friday, stating that Charley Ellis, formerly of this place, but of late years a resident of North Dakota, near Garske, died at Arthur's home Thursday of last week. This sad news will be a surprise to Charley's old friends, for he was a man of robust health. He was sick but a short time. With his wife, he started for Rochester, Minnesota, to undergo a surgical operation. After having past that severe ordeal, they started on their return homeward and had reached Hancock. While there at the home of his sister, Mrs. Arthur Roberts, he was taken worse and died. The cause of his sudden death was stoppage of the bowels. Old friends hereabouts extend sympathy to the bereaved ones.
