Funeral held for Sioux Center Woman Saturday

Funeral services for Mrs. Christina Schenk, lifetime Sioux Center resident, were held last Saturday at the Co-operative Funeral service chapel and at Carrnel Reformed church.

Mrs. Schenk died Thursday last week at the age of 73 years, at the Sioux Center hospital.

Survivors include ther widower; two sons, Henry and Theodore, both of Sioux Center; two daughters, Miss Nellie Schenk of Sioux Center and Mrs. Joel Rykstra of George; six brothers, three sisters, eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Schenk was born Oct. 16, 1885 in Sioux county, and was married in March 1907 to Bastiaan Schenk. The couple farmed near Sioux Center for more than 50 years.
