Funeral services were held at 9:30 Friday morning at St. Anthony’s Church in Hospers for Mrs. Mary Sanem, a longtime resident of that vicinity who died at the Panska Nursing Home in Hawarden last week.

Mrs. John Sanem was born October 18, 1869 at Bissen Luxembourg, and came to this country as a young girl.

She lived on a farm near Hospers until going to the nursing home where she received care the past seven years.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Martha Homan of Long Beach, California, Mrs. Lena Pass of Sheldon, and Miss Margaret Sanem of Des Moines; three sons, Edward of Archer, Iowa, John and Theodore, both of Sheldon; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
