Dennis F. Schenk, 58, died November 21, at his home in Victorville, California.

A funeral mass was celebrated at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Victorville on November 29. Interment was in the Victor Valley Memorial Park Cemetery. A memorial service was at 3 P.M. Saturday, December 3, at the Central Reformed Church Chapel with the Rev. Dennis Wilcox officiating.

Schenk was born February 29, 1936, in Sioux Center, the son of Henry and Helen(DenHartog) Schenk. He lived in the Ontario-Rancho Cucamonga area for 20 years. He had also lived in Sioux Center for 15 years, until returning to California 2 ½ years ago.

He was a Marine Corps veteran and was employed as a maintenance engineer with Hi Grade Materials Company.

He was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Victorville and a past member of Central Reformed Church in Sioux Center, where he was also a janitor.

Survivors include his wife Kathy; three daughters, Denise Hebrank of Leechburg, Pennsylvania, Julene Schenk of Ontario and Lynda Schenk of Victorville; two sons, Garry Schenk of England and Michael Schenk of Sioux Center; His mother, Helen Schenk of Sioux Center; two sisters, Christina Vander Esch of Hawarden and Beverly Berquist of Sacramento, California; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Henry, and a brother, Nestor.
