Henry Schenk, 78, of Buena Park, California, died November 21 in a Hawaiian Gardens, California hospital of cancer.

Services were held November 25, at New Life Community Church, Artesia, California, where Mr. Schenk had been a member for over 24 years. The Rev. Jack Hillbrands and Dr. Kenneth Leestma officiated. Burial was at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Cypress, California.

Mr. Schenk was born June 9, 1909, at Carmel. From his birth until 1949, he lived in Carmel, Hull, Sioux Center, Doon, and Larchwood. He married Emma Swager on December 10, 1936, and the couple farmed from 1949 to 1962 in Beaver Creek, Minnesota. In 1962, Mr. Schenk moved his family to California where he resided until his death.

Survivors include one son, Corwin of Bellflower, California; three daughters, Mrs. Rosella Koetsier of Chino, California; Mrs. Joann Lindrud of Mission Viejo, California; and Mrs. Janice DeLancey of Buena Park, California; two brothers, John and Delmar of Bellflower, California; two sisters, Johanna Mellema of Rock Rapids and Nellie Gras of Artesia, California; 11 grandchildren.
