Miss Elizabeth Sandschulte, 100, of Rock Valley, died Saturday, November 29, in a nursing home at Rock Valley of a long illness.

Services were at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday in St. Mary’s Catholic Church at Rock Valley. The Rev. John Thomas officiated. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery. The rosary was recited at 7:30 P.M., Monday at the Porter Funeral Home.

Miss Sandschulte was born September 17, 1880, at Loretto, Tennessee. She came with her family by wagon train to Rock Valley in 1882.

She was a charter member of the Catholic Daughters of America at Rock Valley and was the Centennial Queen when Rock Valley celebrated its centennial in 1979.

Survivors include one sister, Miss Josephine of Rock Valley.

Note: Her parents were Bernard Sandschulte and Mary Tarp Sandschulte.
