From the Hull Index, December 29, 1905:
Willam VandeBerg, the 19-year-old invalid son of Henry VandeBerg, died Saturday and was buried Sunday.

From the Alton Democrat, December 30, 1905: Hull news:
The nineteen year old deaf and dumb son of Henry Vandenberg died last Sunday night of scarlet fever. The burial took place on Monday afternoon in Hope cemetery.

From the Rock Valley Bee, December 29, 1905: Hull Happenings:
An invalid son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Vandenberg, aged nineteen died Sunday and was buried the same evening, owing to the presence of scarlet fever in the house. It is thought that the poor boy died of his old complaints and not of scarlet fever.
