Mrs. Elizabeth Kroeze, 92, of Orange City, passed away Thursday, Nov. 5 at the Heritage House Nursing Home in Orange City. The former Elizabeth Siebersma was born Nov. 16, 1894 at Orange City. She married Gerbin Kroeze on Oct. 1, 1914 at Orange City. He passed away April 8, 1944 at Sioux City.

She lived most of her life in Orange City. In 1984 she became a resident of the Heritage House. She was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church and the church's Thy Kingdom Come Society. She was also a member of ZangKoor and an associate member of the Monica Society.

Survivors include seven children, Mrs. Peter (Lucy) Faber, Mrs. Marinus (Wilma) Fedders, Mrs. Marion (Gertrude) Wiersma, Steve Kroeze, Mrs. Robert (Mathilda) Newendorp, Mrs. Albert (Jennie) De Haan, all of Orange City; and Mrs. Ken (Elizabeth) Vande Berg of Prescott, Ariz.; three step-children, Mrs. Herbert (Jessie) Huisman, Mrs. Andrew (Rena) Huisman and Peter Kroeze, all of Orange City; 57 grandchildren , 156 greatgrandchildren, 173 great-greatgrandchildren and two great-greatgreat-grandchildren; a brother, Steve Siebersma and a half-sister, Mrs. John (Emma) Kamstra both of Orange City.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Gary Kroeze; two step-sons, John and Harry Kroeze and two stepdaughters, Grace Wielenga and Nell Van Gelder.

Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 9 at the First Christian Reformed Church in Orange City with the Rev. Ralph A. Pontier officiating. Interment followed at West Lawn Cemetery in Orange City under direction of the Van Etten-Oolman-Van Gelder Funeral Home of Orange City.
