Luella Feenstra, 74, of Ireton, Iowa died Monday, November 20, 2006 at her residence in Ireton.

Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Friday at the Christian Reformed Church in Ireton, with Rev. Norlyn Van Beek officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon Thursday, with the family present from 6:30 P.M. to 8 P.M. at the church. The Porter Funeral Home of Ireton is in charge of arrangements.

Luella Feenstra was born January 1, 1932 in Rushmore, Minnesota, the daughter of Clarence and Alvina (De Vries) Klingenberg. She married Jerald Feenstra December 10, 1950 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. They made their home in Ireton, Iowa. Luella had worked at Otis Radio in Hawarden and was a bookkeeper for her husband at Sinkey Motor in Ireton.

Jerald died September 18, 1990.

Luella was a member of the Christian Reformed Church in Ireton and a member of the Ruth Circle. She enjoyed traveling especially by bus to visit family.

She is survived by three sons, James and his wife Gloria of Maurice, Iowa, Gary of Monterey, California and Lyle and his special friend Kim of Bay City, Wisconsin; two daughters, Sandy Hammerstrom and her husband Roger of Woodward, Oklahoma and Karla Colby and her husband Alan of Ackley, Iowa; 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Luella was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jerald.
