Jerald A. Feenstra, 62, of Ireton died Tuesday, September 18, 1990, at a hospital in Hawarden after a lengthy illness.

Services were held Friday at Christian Reformed Church in Ireton with the Rev. Wybren Oord officiating. Burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Ireton under the direction of Porter-Dow Funeral Home in Ireton.

Mr. Feenstra was born October 9, 1927, in Castlewood, South Dakota, the son of Peter and Ida (Moorlag) Feenstra. He attended school in Melvin and graduated from Ocheyedan High School in 1945. He worked as a farmhand prior to his marriage to Luella Klingenberg December 10, 1950, at Colorado Springs, Colorado. He then served in the Korean Conflict until 1952, serving one year in Alaska. The couple made their home in Ireton where he worked for 6 1/2years at Drost Hardware and 30 years at Sinkey Motor.

Survivors include his wife, Luella; three sons, Jim of Maurice, Gary of Pacific Grove, California, and Lyle of Red Wing, Minnesota; two daughters, Mrs. Ken (Karla) Neeld of Iowa Falls and Mrs. Roger (Sandy) Hammerstrom of Woodward, Oklahoma; a brother, Pierce of Norfolk, Nebraska, and eight grandchildren.
