Herman Fedders, 70, died Monday, September 3, in the Orange City Municipal Hospital in Orange City. Services were at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, in the First Reformed Church in Orange City. The Rev. Cecil Martens and the Rev. Frank Snuttjer officiated. Burial was in the West Lawn Cemetery. Family visitation was from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, in the Van Gelder Funeral Home.

Mr. Fedders was born Sept. 1, 1914 in Orange City. He married Mina Luchtenburg Jan. 24, 1940 in Orange City. He spent all his life in the Orange City vicinity. He farmed until 1971 when he retired due to illness. He was a member of the First Reformed Church.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Don of Le Mars; three grandchildren; two brothers, John and Marinus both of Orange City; one sister, Mrs. Neal (Grace) Dykhuizen of Orange City.

Preceded in death by two brothers, Ben and Gerrit and a sister, Mrs. John (Kate) Jasper.
