Mrs. Wilma Fedders, age 85, of Orange City, passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2001, at the Orange City Municipal Hospital Long Term Care Facility. A funeral service was held on Friday, October 26, at 1:30 p.m., at the First Christian Reformed Church in Orange City. The Rev. Timothy Owinga officiated. Interment followed at West Lawn Cemetery in Orange City under the direction of the Oolman Funeral Home.

Wilma was born August 6, 1916, at Orange City, the daughter of Gerbin and Elizabeth (Siebersma) Kroeze. She was raised in Orange City. On January 26, 1938, she married Marinus Fedders at Orange City. They farmed at Orange City until 1981, when they retired into town. Mr. Fedders passed away October 15, 1994, at Orange City.

In May of 1996, Mrs. Fedders became a resident of the Pioneer Memorial Home in Orange City. In March of 2000, she transferred to the Long Term Care Facility. Wilma was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church and the church's Faith, Hope, and Love Circle. She also belonged to the Monica Society, where she helped with Cash for Trash raising funds for the Orange City Christian School. She enjoyed doing word puzzles, embroidering, and crocheting.

Survivors include five children, Gerald Fedders, and his wife, Carol, of Littleton, Colorado; Mario Fedders, and his wife Darlene, of Orange City; Lila, and her husband, Kemper Darnell, of Pasedena, California; LaDonna Fedders, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and Kenneth Fedders, and his wife, Delaine, of Britt; a daughter-in-law, Charolette Fedders of Britt; twelve grandchildren, Brian Fedders; Jane, and her husband, Roger Ellens; Douglas Fedders; Dawn, and her husband, Kevin Cooper; Mark Fedders, and his wife, Aletha; Darla, and her husband, Jason Pike; Jennifer, and her husband, Troy Faust; Jason Fedders; Jessica Fedders; Andrew Fedders; Michael Fedders; and Ryan Fedders; eleven great-grandchildren, Chad and Tyler Ellens; Kelsey, Kayla, Ashley, and Amber Cooper; Matthew, Adam, and Luke Fedders; Katlin Pike; and Mahayla Faust; five sister, Lucy Faber; Gertrude, and her husband, Marion Wiersma; Matilda Newendorp; and Jennie, and her husband, Albert De Haan, all of Orange City; and Elizabeth, and her husband, Kenneth Vande Berg, of Arizona; a brother and his wife, Steve and Marcene Kroeze, of Orange City; and two sistersin- law, Marilyn Kroeze and Bertha Kroeze, both of Orange City.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, LeeRoy Fedders, in 1994; a brother, Gary Kroeze; four half-sisters, Grace Wielenga, Jessie Huisman, Nellie Van Gelder, and Rena Huisman; three half-brothers, John, Harry, and Peter Kroeze; and three infant half-siblings.
