Funeral services were held for Mrs. Andrew Feikema, 88, of Doon, Monday, March 27, at 1:30 P.M., from the Doon Christian Reformed Church with Rev. John Elenbaas officiating. Burial was in the Hillside Cemetery at Doon under the direction of the Cooperative Funeral Service of Sioux Center.

She passed away Thursday morning, March 23, 1961, at the Sioux Center Hospital.

She was born on July 24, 1873, to Mr. and Mrs. Kortenhoven in Halfweg, North Holland, and was baptized Carolyn Cornelia. She came to the United States in September 1898. On January 3, 1901, she was united in marriage to Mr. Andrew Feikema in Chicago, Illinois. To this union was born five sons and five daughters. The Feikema family moved from Indiana to Iowa in 1921 and settled on a farm Northeast of Doon. May 25, 1939, the father and husband, Mr. Feikema passed away. On February 9, 1944, a daughter, Clara, died.

Mrs. Feikema moved to Doon in 1948 and resided with her daughter, Arlys, until the time of her decease.

Surviving are nine children: Mrs. Ed Van Til of Highland, Indiana, Frank of Inwood, Peter of Highland, Indiana, Nick of Sibley, Mrs. Stuart De Jong of Chicago, Cornelius of Inwood, Mrs. Walter De Jong of Hudsonville, Michigan, Andrew of Hills, Minnesota, and Arlys of Doon; 26 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, two brothers, Joe and John, and one sister, Mrs. Andrew Vellinga.
