Mr. Andrew Feikema, 70, passed away at his home Thursday evening following a lingering illness. He had been sick two months.

Mr. Feikema, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Feike Feikema, was born in Franeker, Netherlands, in 1868. He came to America some 21 years ago, settling at Sioux Center. On January 2, 1900, he married Carolina Kortenhoeven at Roseland, Chicago, Illinois. They moved to Hammond, Indiana. The past sixteen years he had resided northeast of Doon. To this union, ten children were born, five sons and five daughters.

Surviving to mourn his loss are the widow, Carolina, and children: Mrs. Ed Van Tel of Highland, Indiana, Frank of Doon, Peter of Highland, Indiana, Nick of Ellsworth, Minnesota, Mrs. Steward De Jong of Chicago, Illinois, Cornelius of Inwood, Iowa, Mrs. Walter De Jong of Evergreen Park, Illinois, Andrew, Clara, and Alice of Doon. He also leaves four brothers, Ben Feikema of Sioux Center, John Feikema of Hawarden, Douwie Feikema of Cedar Springs, Michigan, Romke Feikema of Hawarden, one sister, Mrs. Seine Gerritsma of Sioux Center and eleven grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 1 P.M., from the residence and the First Christian Reformed Church, Doon, Iowa, with the Reverend Mr. Edward Visser officiating. Burial was in the Doon cemetery.
