From the Hawarden Independent, Oct. 12, 1905:

Death of Mrs. Daley

Mrs. John Daley who has been very low for the past two months died shortly after nine o'clock this morning. Several times during the past few weeks it was thought that death was near but she rallied each time and her condition was such this morning that her husband felt that he could leave her bedside and finish a job of work he had taken. Shortly after his departure she was taken with a sinking spell and death came before word could be gotten to him. She leaves a husband and five children, the youngest a little over one year and the eldest about fourteen years of age. The sympathy of the entire community is extended to the bereaved family in their sad hour.
