Sioux Center News, July 26, 1951

Funeral services were held on Saturday, July 21, for Cornelius De Vos who passed away at the local community hospital on Wednesday evening July 19. Rev. John Breuker officiated and burial took place at the local cemetery.

Mr. De Vos was born in The Netherlands on May 26, 1884, and had reached the age of 67 years. He had lived with his parents all of his life, and made his home with his mother until about four weeks ago when he took sick and had to be hospitalized. More than (?) years ago, he began his career as mason, working with his father. He continued in this business until he took sick.

He is now survived by his aged mother and four brothers, Arie of Hawarden, Ed of Sioux Center, William of Ireton and Henry also of Sioux Center.

His father preceded him in death on May 8, 1944.

NOTE: The article is cut off so the years that he worked are missing, his career could have been brick mason that is also cut off just the work mason is showing.
