Thomas W. Vanden Bosch 80, of Rock Valley died Thurs. March 20, 1997 at the Hegg Memorial Hospital in Rock Valley.

Services will be held at 1;30 p.m. Mon. at the Calvin Christian Reformed Church at Rock Valley with the Rev. Roger Sparks officiating. Burial will be at Valley View Cemetery at Rock Valley with Porter Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Vanden Bosch was born Sept. 13, 1916 at Rock Valley to Leendert "Lane" and Riekje (Van Veldhuizen) Vanden Bosch. He graduated from the Western Christian High School at Hull, IA. He married Edith Vander Bok August 18, 1937, at Rock Valley. They lived in Wisc.,MN, Inwood IA and WA. where he taught in the Christian schools for 16 years before moving south of Rock Valley. She died August 23, 1984. He married Ann (Armstrong)Tjepkema May 3, 1985, at Marysville, WA. They lived south of Rock Valley.

Survivors include his wife; four sons and their wives, Aldred and Arlene of Everett, WA, Ted and Brenda of Ilwaco, WA, Henry and Deb, Russel and Jan, all of Arlington, WA; five daughters and their husbands, Anna Mae and Stan Van Ommeren of Maurice, IA, Elvina and Al Meerbeek of Rock Valley, Rachel and Clarence Van Beek of Irene, S.D. Audrey and Larry Breuer of Phoenix, AZ and Judy and Peter Brummel of Hull; two sisters, Frances De Wit of Inwood and Gert Silvis of Worthington, MN; 55 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; 6 step-children and their families.

He was preceded in death by his first wife; 11 brothers and sisters and an infant grandson, Mark Meerbeek.
