Nellie Vande Stroet, 83 of Rock Valley, died March 6, at Valley Manor in Rock Valley, Iowa

Services were held Wed. at First Reformed Church in Rock Valley with burial in Valley View Cemetery, Porter Funeral Home in Rock Valley was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Vande Stroet was born Oct. 7, 1915, near Inwood. The couple farmed near Parker, S.D. until 1938 when they moved to a farm near Inwood. They retired and moved to Rock Valley in 1972.

Survivors include her husband; two sons and their wives, Peter and Ruth of Rock Valley and Rick and Denise of Corning, IA; two daughters, Jeanette and her husband Gerard Van Beek of Rock Valley and Bernice Hamilton of Sioux Falls; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; three brothers, Elmer and his wife Zeanna Van Egdom of Rock Valley, Peter Van Egdom of Hawarden, and Don and his wife Lois Van Egdom of Hawarden; a sister and her husband, Evelyn and Norman Ykema of Luverne, MN, and a sister-in-law, Jennie Van Edgom of Hawarden.
