Died: September 7, 1988 Orange City, Iowa

Jennie Vande Griend, 93, of Sioux Center died Wed. Sept. 7, at the Orange City Municipal Hospital.

Services were Sat. Sept. 10, at Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Sioux Center with the Rev. Duane Tinklenberg officiating. Burial was in Memory Gardens.

Born Jennie Rens December 28, 1894 in Sioux Center, she attended the West Branch Township School. She married Marinus Vande Griend March 2, 1917, at Middleburg. They farmed north of Orange City and retired to Sioux Center in 1949. He died March 24, 1972.

She was a member of Bethel Christian Reformed Church at Sioux Center.

Survivors include two daughters, Nellie Vande Zandschulp and Jeanette Vanden Hul, both of Orange City; two brothers, Bert Rens of Sheldon and Richard Rens of Sioux Center; two sisters, Hermina Bleyenberg of Sioux Center and Jeanette Van Middendorp of Verndale, MN; 10 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
