Jerry Lee Green, 54, Boyden, died Saturday, March 22, at his residence.

Services were Tuesday, March 25, at United Presbyterian Church in Boyden, with the Rev. Randy Nicholas officiating. Burial was in Sheridan Township Cemetery in Boyden, under the direction of Vander Ploeg Funeral Home.

Jerry Green, son of Marvin and Lena (Schreuder) Green, was born November 11, 1948, in Boyden. He received his education in the Boyden-Hull School District and graduated from Boyden-Hull High School in Hull in 1967. He worked for Farmers Feed & Supply Company and Co-op Gas & Oil Company in Boyden. He married Harriet Keizer on June 16, 1973, at First Reformed Church in Doon. They lived in Boyden for 10 years. They moved onto Jerry’s parents’ home place just west of Boyden in 1983. He started working as a machinist for Maintainer Corporation of Iowa in Sheldon in March 1984.

He was a member of United Presbyterian Church in Boyden, the Horseless Carriage Club of America (the Sioux Falls regional group) and the Model T Club.

Survivors include his wife, Harriet Green of Boyden; three daughters, Sheila Green of Kalamazoo, Missouri, Shelly Green of Durham, North Carolina, and Sue and Jim Goebel of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and a sister, Sur Arnold of Brownsburg, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Lena Green; a brother, Duane Green; and a brother-in-law, Charles Falvey.
