Mary Green was one of 50 passengers killed in the plane crash near Fort Collins, Colorado, Saturday was a former resident. Mrs. Mary Green, who was born in Rock Valley on March 21, 1896. She was the former Mary Henderson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alf Henderson who resided there many years ago.

Mrs. Green had been employed in the Sioux Valley Hospital at Cherokee as a nurse for the past 13 years and was enroute home from a two weeks vacation visit with her brother, Haddic Henderson of Srockton, California at the time the plane crashed. The victim was a niece of Will Henderson of Rock Valley, widow of the late Claude Green of Cherokee.

On May 20 she had visited in Ireton renewing acquaintances with old friends and stayed at the O.C. Cooper home.
