Mrs. Winnie Green, 65, who resided here as a child, died Tuesday at a Sioux City hospital after an illness of a week. She had lived in Sioux City 25 years, leaving Hawarden at the age of 13 after spending most of her childhood here.

Mrs. Green was born December 19, 1890, in Waterloo, Ia. During her childhood her father, George Crowther, operated a creamery west of Hawaredn. On March 25, 1908, she married Ray Green at Moville, Ia.

She was a member of the Third Presbyterian church of Sioux City, the Order of the Eastern Star at Hawarden and the Rebekah lodge.

Survivors include the widower; a son, Vernon of Holstein, Ia.; two brothers, Fred Crowther of Marshalltown, Ia., and Jay Crowther of Anaheim, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Lillian Heald of Silverton, Ore., and Mrs. Ida Scott of Hawarden; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1 o'clock today at the Winter Funeral Parlors in Morningside. Interment will be at Grace Hill cemetery at Hawarden.
