LaVere Green, gasoline salesman of Ireton, dropped dead Monday. He had been about his work as usual on Saturday, apparently in good health.

Funeral services were held at the home at 1:30 Wednesday afternoon and at St. Paul's Lutheran church at 2 o'clock, Rev. H.W. Krieger in charge. Pall bearers were Henry Eilts, John DeVries, Ed Hiedbrink, Louis Braaks, Arthur Bartlett and Fred Ellers. Burial was in Grace Hill cemetery in Hawarden.

Alfred LaVere Green, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Green, was born at Moville on August 4, 1908, and passed away May 8, 1944, at the age of 35 years, seven months and four days. He was united in marriage with Caroline Pauline Utesch on December 28, 1928, and to this union was born one daughter, Shirley. He came to Ireton about eight years ago and engaged in the oil business. Besides his wife and daughter, he is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray green of Sioux City; one brother, Vernon Green of Holstein, and his grandmother, Mrs. Belle Green of Correctionville.
