C. Frank Green, 78, of Sioux City, a former Hawarden Business Man, died Monday evening of last week in a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness.

Some over 30 years ago Mr. Green operated a sand plant north of Hawarden and later a stone quarry in Dell Rapids, South Dakota, for the Hubert Everist Company.

Mr. Green was a former member of the Iowa Board of Assessment, which later became the Iowa Tax Commission. In recent years he had been in the real estate business.

Survivors include the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Ellen Nicolson of Rockingham, North Carolina; a son, Thomas, of Moelia, Mexico; a brother and four sisters.
