Jessie Marie Hendricks, 95 of Chatsworth died Sunday, May 30,2004 at Hillcrest Health Care Center in Hawarden. Funeral services were June 3 at First Church of Christ, Akron, with theRev. Beryl Hicks officiating. Schroeder Funeral Home in Akron was in charge of arrangements.

Jessie Marie Hendricks was born Aug. 9, 1908 in Westfield the daughter of John and Anna (Jensen) Dierksen. She married Charles Hendricks June 23,1926 in Sioux Falls. She lived in Westfield one year, Akron 16 years and Chatsworth for 71years.

She was a member of First Church of Christ in Akron where she taught church school and was church pianist. She served as Chatsworth Treasurer and was a member of the P.C.O.C. Club in Chatsworth.

Survivors include her husband, Charles; two daughters, Margaret Small and Shirley Rasmussen, both of Sioux City; son, Donald Hendricks of Hawarden; 10 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three grandsons, Charles Earl Small, Harley Loren Small and Donald David Hendricks; andtwo sons-in-law, Harley E. Small and Donald Lowell.
