Paul Edward Holtrop, 60, of Warsaw, Missouri, formerly of Northwest Iowa, died Sunday, October 17, at his home in Warsaw. A graveside memorial servicewas Friday, October 22, at the Greenwood Cemetery near Matlock with the Rev. Harlan Van Oort officiating

Holtrop was born February 15, 1944, the son of John and Sophia (Van Zandbergen) Holtrop. From 1964 to 1968, he served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. He lived in Iowa, Texas and Missouri, doing a variety of jobs. For several years, he served as a police officer in Spencer.

Survivors include his daughter, Monica Huether, of Brandon, South Dakota; two grandchildren; a brother, Gerry Holtrop of Hospers; and a sister, Jean Sears of Denver, Colorado. He was preceded in death by a sister, Joan Holtrop.
Memorials may be directed to diabetes causes.
