Funeral services for Herman S. Van Otterloo, 85, longtime Rock Valley area resident who died Monday will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Vander Ploeg funeral home at Rock Valley and at 1:30 p.m. at the Christian Reformed church there. Rev. C. Huissen will officiate and burial will be in Valley View cemetery.

Mr. Van Otterloo was born February 28, 1873, at Vogel Center Mich. He farmed in this area for many years before retiring and moving to Rock Valley 20 year ago.

Survivors are the widow; Rolena(Kooiman)Van Otterloo; four daughters, Mrs. Frank Van Pykeren and Mrs. Ray B. Mulder, both of Hull, Ia., Mrs. Andrew Koedam of Rock Valley and Mrs. Jake Grevengoed of Hudson, S. D.; four sons, Steve and Sam, both of Rock Valley, John of Bellflower, Calif. and Clarence of Luverne, Minn,; the step-mother, Mrs. Stephen Van Otterloo of Sioux City; a brother Johannes of Ireton, la.; a half brother, Peter of Grand Rapids, Mich.; a half-sister, Mrs. Henry Ter Haar of Sioux Center; 21 grandchildren and two great grandchildren
