June E. Roth Newcomer, 78, Spearfish, S.D. died Sunday, May 9, 2004 at her home in Spearfish. Funeral services were held on May 11 at the Carlsen and Aldinger Funeral Home inSpearfish with Chaplain Charley Conger officiating. Services will be held on Friday, May 14 at 10:30 a.m. at the Associated Church in Hawarden with the Rev. Rick Kargard officiating. Visitation will be held at the Porter Funeral Home in Hawarden from noon to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 13 at Porter Funeral Home in Hawarden. Family will be present for visitation from 6 to 8 p.m.

June E. Mansbridge was born on Sept. 8, 1925 the daughter of Ralph (Babe) and Irene (Hardy) Mansbridge at Lemmon, S.D. She grew up and attended school in Lemmon. She obtained a degree in accounting from USD in Vermillion. She married Roy Roth on Aug. 3, 1947 in Spearfish. They made their home in South Sioux City, Neb., later moving to Hawarden. June worked at Farmers State Bank, the Hawarden Hospital and then, started her own accounting and tax service in her home. Mr. Roth died November of 1972. She married Robert Newcomer in December 1975 and they moved to San Francisco, Calif. In 1980 the moved to Spearfish. Mr. Newcomer died in October of 1990.

Survivors include sons, Mark Roth of Spearfish, Dennis Newcomer of Navato, Calif, and Jim and Rob Newcomer of California; daughter, Toni Schlumbohm of Hawarden; three grandchildren; and sister, Margie Ice of Pierre. She was preceded in death by her two husbands; and a brother, Fred Mansbridge.
