Maxine K. Napier was born December 2, 1925 in Sheldon, Iowa the daughter of Ralph J. and Jennie (Van De Weerd) Kooiker. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints. In her career, she pursued the savings and loan industry, the construction field, also the aircraft industry as a bookkeeper-secretary. She married Ray P. Napier on September 10, 1956 in Yuma, Arizona.

Maxine spent her last few years in a senior citizens apartment in Muskogee. She had many friends and enjoyed activities of all kinds. She always looked forward to trips to Iowa to see her family, whom she loved and spoke of fondly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ray P. Napier; daughter, Roberta Threlkeld; grandsons, Scott D. Threlkeld and Michael D. Napier; sisters, Harriet (Kooiker) Van Batavia, Jennie (Kooiker) Van Dersloot; brothers, John W. Edwin, Henry J. , Arthur R., and Elmer.

Maxine is survived by three children, Ray J. (Norma) Napier, Douglas L. (Debra) Napier, Sierra Sue (Trevor) Goldi, along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and numerous nephews, nieces and close friends.
