Funeral services were held at the American Reformed Church in Orange City at 1:30 P.M. Tuesday, May 20, for Dwight N. Grotenhous, 49, Orange City, the president of the Silent Sioux Manufacturing Corp., who died Sunday at the Orange City hospital after suffering a heart attack.

Services were conducted by the Rev. H. Buseman and burial was made in Westlawn Cemetery at Orange City.

Mr. Grotenhouse was born September 21, 1919, at Moline, Illinois. He married A. Rhonda Weinstock August 19, 1944, at Great Malvern, Worcestershire, England. He served in the European Theatre during World War II.

He moved to Orange City in 1946 and became associated with his father, J.T. Grotenhouse, in the Silent Manufacturing Corp. When his father retired in 1959, he assumed the presidency of the company and still held the position. The firm originally manufactured oil burning stoves and at the present time manufactures furniture and fixtures for post-offices.

He was a member of the American Reformed Church, the Floyd Masonic Lodge of Orange City and the Abu Bekr Shrine Temple of Sioux City.

Survivors include the widow; a daughter, Rae, at home; a son, Craig at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.T. Grotenhouse of Sun City, Arizona; and a sister, Miss Ellen Gray Grotenhouse of Sun City.
