Funeral services were held at the First Presbyterian Church at Phoenix, Arizona, July 8, for James T. Grotenhouse, 75, retired Orange City businessman, who died of a heart attack July 6, at his home in Sun City, Arizona. The body was cremated.

Mr. Grotenhouse founded the Silent Sioux Corporation of Orange City in 1921 and was serving as chairman of the corporation board at the time of his death.

He was born November 25, 1894, in Newkirk, Iowa. He was married to Ellen Gray. The Grotenhouses moved to Tucson, Arizona in 1949, and moved again in 1963 to Phoenix, Arizona, and have resided the past three years in Sun City.

Survivors include the widow; a daughter, Miss Ellen Gray Grotenhouse of Sun City; a brother, Ben, of Orange City, and seven grandchildren.

Note: In the 1925 Iowa census listed his father as G.T.Grotenhouse and his mother Dena Kots
