From the Sioux County Bee and Rock Valle Register, January 4, 1901:

The Angel of Death visited the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bowman on Wednesday of last week [December 26] and carried away their little daughter aged about six months. The funeral services were held from the home on Friday conducted by Rev. Richards who made a few remarks upon a text from Kings. The interment was made in South Cemetery at Rock Valley. The Bee extends tender sympathy to the bereaved parents.
