From the Sioux County Bee and Rock Valley Register, April 14, 1899: Sioux Center Snap Shots:

Peter Niessink died last week and was buried Monday. He leaves a wife and a few small children. The sympathy of the community is with the stricken family.

(No additional information was readily available. The same information appears in Sioux Center news notes from other area newspapers. The 1899 Sioux Center Nieuwsblad is missing after April 5. He does not appear in the Sioux County Cemetery Index, although a Peter L., possibly his son (1897-1972) does. A search on Ancestry.com did not produce a Peter Niessink born prior to 1897 living in Sioux County.)
