Anna Mae Gerritson, 74, of Rock Valley died Sunday, September 17, at Valley Manor. Services were at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Pioneer United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jerry Robertson officiating. Burial was in Valley View Cemetery.

Mrs. Gerritson was born December 8, 1925, in Rock Valley, the daughter of Pete and Johanna (Wissink) Vander Velde. She married Cornelius "Case" Gerritson August 24, 1944, in Luverne, Minnesota. He died January 6, 1985. She was a custodian and cook for the Rock Valley Public School for more than 35 years and retired in 1991. She was a member of the Woodbury Woodys Camping Club and Pioneer United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son and his wife, Glenn and Betty Gerritson of Ireton; two daughters and their husbands, Pam and Curtiss Massey of El Cajon, California, and Karrie and David Klarenbeek of Alvord; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a brother and his wife, Pete and LaVonne Vander Velde of Rock Valley; two sisters, Margaret Van Otterloo and Janet Kruizenga, both of Rock Valley; and a sister-in-law, Gertrude Vander Velde of Rock Valley.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; an infant granddaughter; and a brother, Martin Vander Velde.
