Peter Gerritsen, 84, 1418 Jones St., died Wednesday in a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness.

Services were at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the First Presbyterian Church. The Rev. William F. Skinner officated. Burial was at Graceland Park Cemetery.

Mr. Gerritsen was born March 25, 1901, in Sioux County, Iowa, and came 'to Sioux City in 1944. He married Florence H. Shadbolt Nov. 12,1949, in South Sioux City. He was a selfemployed trucker for 40 years and also trucked for Jon Drew and Palmer Candy Co., retiring in 1962, He also owned apartment property. Mr. Gerritsen was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Marvin of Ogden, Utah; two daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Mina) Fear of Everly, Iowa, and Mrs. James (Julie) Buckler of Omaha; six sisters, Mrs. Hattie Vande Kamp and Mrs. Ida De Yager, both of Sioux Center, Iowa, Mrs. Anna Roelofs of California, Mrs. Henry (Harriet) Driesen of Hull, Iowa, Mrs. John (Nell) Driesen of Rock Valley,Iowa, and Mrs. Lou (Win) Wielenga of Orange City, Iowa; seven grand-children;14 great-grandchildren and three great-great-children.
