Anna Van Putten, daughter of Gerrit William and Evertje Van Putten, was born November 21, 1889 at Sioux Center, Iowa. She attended school in Welcome Township and lived her youth in rural Sioux Center.

She was united in marriage to Albert G. De Pree of Sioux Center, Iowa on August 18, 1909 at Sioux Center. Their married life was lived in Sioux Center. He preceded her in death in 1958.

She passed away Wednesday, April 24, 1974 at the Sioux Center Community Hospital after a short illness at the age of 84 years, 5 months and 3 days.

She is survived by three daughters, Johanna (Mrs. Peter Rons) of Scottsdale, AZ; Edna (Mrs. Bernard Mouw) of Sioux Center; LaVonne (Mrs. Harold Mulder) of Sheldon, IA; eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Pleum De Zeeuw and Mrs. Henry Wissink both of Sioux Center, IA.

Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and four sisters.
