Sioux County Capital October 24, 1985

Alfred M. Hansen, 64, of Granville died Monday in Wide View Rest Home in Paullina after a long illness. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Granville. The Rev. Francis J. Nemmers will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery with the graveside military rites conducted
by VFW Post 5347, under direction of the Fisch Funeral Home in Remsen.

Mr. Hansen was born June 5, 1921 at Alton where he was raised and educated. He married Lola Beheim Feb. 13, 1947 at LeMars. They farmed in the Granville area. She died April 30, 1982. He had lived at Wide View Rest Home since August 1984. Mr. Hansen was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was a member of VFW Post 5347 of Granville.

Survivors include two sons, Paul of Sioux City and Virgil of Granville; three daughters, Mrs. Lyle; (Susan) Drinkman of Lexington,Mrs. Clayton (Nancy) Pyle and Mrs. Craig (Rita) Kruger of Paullina; three brothers, Everist of Granville, Sylvester and Nick, both of Alton; three sisters, Miss Frances and Miss Florence, both of Sioux City and Mrs. Leo (Luilla) Henrich of Archer, and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas (Margaret Klein) Hansen and one brother, Joe.
