Death of Prominent Inwood Man

Herman Jensen, a prominent and well-to-do farmer near Inwood died suddenly at the home of his sister, Mrs. August Schemmel, Monday of last week. Mr. Jensen was a single man and boarded with his sister and family and worked his farm nearby.

He was sick about three days, his death being caused by hemorrhage of the brain. The deceased was one of Lyon county's most prosperous and progressive farmers. He was thirty-five years of age and had lived in Lyon county nearly all his life. He was well known in Rock Valley and vicinity and his friends here regret to hear of his death.

Funeral services were held Thursday from the Lutheran church in Sioux township, conducted by Rev. E. H. Gilman. Those from a distance who attended the services were Will Jensen and wife of Oldham, S.D., and Mr. and Mrs. H. F. Winters, of Romona, S.D. The latter is a sister of the deceased.
