Mrs. A. Vander Stoep died very suddenly early Wednesday morning at the age of nearly seventy years.

She was born on July fifth 1837 at Zuid Holland Netherlands and with her husband (Jacob Velhuizen) she came to this country and settled at South Holland Illinois. They came to this colony many years ago and about sixteen years ago Mr. Veldhuizen was struck by lightning.

In 1903 she was married to A. Vander Stoep who survives her. Thirteen children were born to her. Six of whom have died. Besides her husband she leaves thirty eight grand children and seven children whose names are Mrs. F. Vander Maaten and Mrs. I. Herwyneen of this place, Mrs. Joe Heemstra of Sibley, Mrs. S. Vanden Bosch of Rock Valley, Mrs. P. De Zeeuw of Middleburg, Henry Veldhuizen of Boyden and William Veldhuizen of New York.

The funeral services will be held Friday afternoon in the First Reformed church.
