Rita McCormick, formerly of Hawarden, died December 19, 1983, in Chicago, IL. Funeral mass was conducted in the Blessed Virgin Mary Church; with interment in the Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Chicago, IL, on December 21,1983.

Mrs. John McCormick, the former Rita McCarthy, was born on July 31, 1911, in County Cork, Ireland. She came to America as an infant and grew to adulthood in Hawarden. Shortly after her marriage to John McCormick she moved to. Chicago where she remained until her death. She was preceded in death by her husband, John, her parents, Tom and Margaret McCarthy, her brother, Jim McCarthy, and three children, Jim, James and Agnes. She is survived by eight children, Shirley, Thomas, Mary, Rita, Kay, Joan, John and Susan; her sister, Agnes McCarthy of Chicago, and by Raymond of Hawarden. Rita was the grandmother of 29 and greatgrandmother of 13.
