Porter H. Smith, 90, Hudson, died Friday, Feb. 10, 1984, at a Hawarden hospital.
Services were at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13, at the Hudson Lutheran Church. The Rev. Allen Bidne officiated. Burial was in Eden Cemetery, Hudson.

Mr. Smith was born Aug. 6, 1893, near Miller. He married Mabel Johnson Feb. 28, 1917, at Hawarden. She died in 1983. He was a self-employed carpenter and retired in 1972.

Survivors include four sons, Gordon, Vermillion, Gilbert and Roger, both of Hudson, and Raymond, Lake Elmo, MN; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
